That's what my friend said to me one April weekend when he invited me to a FREE 3 day seminar at my local convention centre. Normally, It would have cost me $895 to attend. Sounded like a bargain to get invited for FREE !!!

My name is Ty. Initially I had my doubts as I had never been to one of these events before. In fact, I had never tried to seek advice or guidance for anything before. We turned up at the convention centre, a huge grey building with blue carpet that stretches the entire length of the Great Hall. I reckon there was about 2000 people, we were all checking out the video screens playing these cool video clips with U2's song Vertigo pumping out. That will always put you in a good mood!!!

Before Christopher Howard comes out, you warm up with a bit of fun, watching the clips, listening to the music, you can dance if you want!!! The 3 days really were heavy with content. I really felt that I walked away with a lot of value, especially since I beat my nail biting habit. For the first time in my life I have healthy nails, I feel so good about myself. If you have habits or compulsions that you want to get rid of, this is the way to do it.

Throughout the weekend we had a fun game to play called Fact or Crap! After we came back from a break Chris would call your name out, sort of like a lucky door prize. You would come up onto the stage and grab a mike and Chris would ask you a question (they're really easy, sshhh, don't tell anyone), and you would have to decide if the question is fact or crap. When you get the answer right you win a prize!! How cool is that?

Well, on the third day, in the morning, we came back from a coffee break. While we were sitting down in the rows of chairs I was preparing my notes and looking for my pen, Chris decided to do another fact or crap game. He called out the first name and looked around, nobody jumped up. I guess they were still outside, I couldn't imagine anyone going home?? You gotta be there to win it..... Redraw! Redraw! We all called out, so OK..... can you believe the second person wasn't there either?? Christopher Howard was ready to go with the course but we all called out louder.... Redraw! Redraw! Chris paused and thought, well...... OK, third and last chance. He pulled out a name and read it out... TY !!!!!

Oh My God !!!! It was me!!! I jumped up and threw my hands in the air.....

As I ran down the aisle with one of the crew members I was feeling really self-conscious. I've never been one to stand up in front of people and it was overwhelming with everyone cheering, shouting and clapping their hands. The crew guy thrust the microphone into my hands and showed me the stairs leading up to the stage and then there I was right in front of Chris Howard. Chris was really cool and made me feel comfortable up there on the stage straight away. It was weird looking out at the crowd, with all the lights shining on the stage it's hard to see anyone. It's sort of like everyone is in silhouette. Anyway, he asked me a question, I forget what it was now, but I looked out to the crowd and the crew were all giving me the thumbs up. So, I figured the answer was fact. I was right!!!!!

So that means I get to roll these giant red fluffy dice that they have up there. I picked up the first dice which felt like velvet but was really light for its size. I threw it off the stage into the aisle between the crowd and scored a 5. Then I ran over and picked up the other dice, threw it out and scored another 5. A score of 10 won me a NLP Results Certification Course worth $5000.

Can you imagine winning a free course!!!! It was crazy but it was true and the crowd was just wild. Chris Howard gave me a big hug, said congratulations and then I left the stage in a massive daze. One of the organizers was waiting for me as I got off and shook my hand and gave me a certificate to sign up with. It was unreal, I won a $5000 course. It was a 7 day course in NLP skills and the emotional breakthroughs I made in that were so rewarding.
