When we want to change something, generally we don't have much confidence in ourselves in that particular area. Giving yourself the simple and direct path gives you a better chance at results, which leads to more confidence, which leads to more action, which leads to more results.

Have you ever wondered exactly WHY you aren’t experiencing the success you want?

I know have in the past.

You know, I think I’ve figured out the reason that the vast majority of people can’t or WON’T improve themselves.

And it has absolutely NOTHING to do with “being lazy”.

In fact, I think that the “you’re being lazy” statement when it comes to achieving success is THE big copout used by experts and gurus when their overcomplicated and total lifestyle altering systems just don’t work for you…

… and the bad thing…

… is that YOU END UP BELIEVING IT.

Because of this type of pervasiveness out there, you might even BELIEVE that my ideas work… but you don’t want to try it because you are afraid of failure… and if you fail then there’s no hope.

And you don’t want to be told that the REASON it didn’t work is because you’re a loser.

Look, I’ve been there.

I’ve been in situations where I’ve wanted to try something but didn’t, even though other people just like me were getting great results, just because of the implied hopelessness my situation would become should I not get any results.

I was terrified of failing!

Better to just say “I could if I wanted to” than to KNOW I really couldn’t.

Fear is being conditioned in our industries right across the board.

With every complicated solution to trivially simple problems like business success and financial independence…

… with every failure…

… with every lifestyle altering pitch…

… people are being conditioned to not even TRY anymore.

Better to AVOID the humiliation.

Hey, I’ve been there, and I told that story here.

But enough of that.

Here’s the REAL reason most programs don’t work

They require you to change your ENTIRE life to get a small result. Look, I’m not gonna lie, it’s tough enough to make a SMALL
change in your life, but to make a huge change that isn’t in line with all of your true goals in life…

having a great woman

having a great family

making more money

having some freedom to do what you want, when you want

… just ISN’T going to happen if you’re living the “self help lifestyle” most books and courses recommend.

And what I thought of this weekend that really nailed it home with me is this…

ANY CHANGE THAT YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND DOES NOT AGREE WITH, WILL NOT HAPPEN OR LAST

Subconsciously, you WANT all of those things above.

You don’t want to live your life measuring food, stressing about calories, guessing on the best business plans, trying to figure
out if health programs are good or not…

No, overall… you just want a better life.

Hell, we all do, right?

So, most programs are doomed to fail because you know deep down that “their way” is not the way you want to live.

Here is my best crack at the solution to lasting change, and it’s worked for me.

GROSSLY OVERSIMPLIFY

In other words, do first things first and other things not at all. Does that make sense?

Here’s the truth.

In order to enjoy success in business, you don’t HAVE to be “the best”, or the most knowledgeable…

… you just have to be competent and consistent.

Competent meaning that you know the big picture items that do all of the real work for you.

Consistent meaning that you DO the action steps in those big picture items over and over again as you build your business.

Think of it as giving yourself a CONSERVATIVE CHANCE OF SUCCESS.

When we want to change something, generally we don’t have much confidence in ourselves in that particular area. Giving yourself the simple and direct path gives you a better chance at results, which leads to more confidence, which leads to more action, which leads to more results.

So, no matter what your overall is… going simple is the best course of action.

Business education is an area where so many lack knowledge either because they are intimidated by finance or they don't realise how important the numbers are.

Business education is an area where so many lack knowledge either because they are intimidated by finance or they don’t realise how important the numbers are. The reason for a lot of business failure is because someone throws their whole life savings at an idea before ever thinking through what it will take to make a profit. A business’ success will always come down to its bottom line. You’ve got to do the math…

Every business operator needs to learn about Wealth Management Systems. You can’t afford to be afraid to ask lots of questions. When you are not afraid to appear ignorant you can tap into the knowledge of other entrepreneurs and absorb much of their experiences in business. When you increase your knowledge of business finance, you infinitely increase your earnings potential. Once you have the consciousness of wealth you can learn the language of wealth so you can reinforce all your ideas with knowledge and make well informed decisions.

Learn To Read

Learn to read financial statements. A financial statement is a clear picture of what’s working in a business and what’s not. As you interpret the statement you can make your next decisions based on the information presented to you. Having a vocabulary of financial terminology will help you evaluate whether something is a good investment or not.

The types of deals you attract and your ability to grow your wealth exponentially is in direct proportion to your financial vocabulary.

Plan to Succeed on Paper

Planning success involves monitoring expenses, projecting profits and balancing the books. By setting specific financial goals every month and year you develop a clear plan on how you are going to reach them. Your wealth expands to the extent that you plan.

The Foundation of Success

The basic foundation of success is to

1) live below your means so that you have money leftover

2) convert earned income into passive income

Most people tend to increase their expenses as their income increases. They may appear wealthy on the outside with all their new toys, but often they’re just in deeper debt. It’s a cold, hard fact that high ticket possessions are not a great measure of wealth if they are depreciating in value.

Don’t go crazy buying and consuming as the profits roll in. Wealth building is all about investing in assets. Shifting your money management habits from spending to investing is the number one success strategy of all successful entrepreneurs.

Change Your Spending Behaviour

I’m sure you are already working hard. After all this hard work don’t “reward” yourself by buying material things. You are not depriving yourself by living sensibly. It’s a mistake to associate saving and investing with depriving or deferring your dreams.

On a behavioural level, you can get rid of overspending habits quickly:

Instead of associating having new things with pleasure, start to associate new possessions with their consequences. Are they worth the pain of debt? What do you miss out on in the long-run? Look at what overspending costs you on every level.

Begin to associate growing money with pleasure. Look at it as investing in the fulfilment of all your needs and desires.

Once you have these overspending habits sorted you need to develop your Wealth Management System.

Having a plan to refer to along the way takes a lot of the guesswork out of wealth-building. It may not happen exactly the way you plan it, but it eliminates the overwhelm, and puts your dreams within reach.

People still think that successful entrepreneurs are just lucky or that they got some secret help to achieve their success. You need to know that wealth building does not happen by accident and running a highly successful business doesn’t just happen either.

It’s important to dream big and not hold back with your dreams, but the next step is to create a realistic plan and take action on that plan. This is what all great entrepreneurs do—they lead with the imagination, then follow up by taking massive action on a smaller, step by step plan.

There is an energy about having that specificity to your plan

Once you’re clear about exactly what you intend…plan on achieving it. It could be a formal long-term business plan, or just an outline of the goals you need to reach along the way. In the process of planning it, you are making your dreams more real for you and for others. Clarity is power. If you fail to plan, you’re planning to fail. Plan to succeed.

The obvious advantage in having a business plan is in communicating and getting others on board with your start-up or your ideas for expansion.

Clarity is Power. Plan to Succeed

Your action plan is your road map. You may stray from it or find a better route to get where you want to go, but you always have the guidelines to keep you on track.

There is an energy about having that specificity to your target, and a level of certainty about what you believe possible. What you say will occur is inextricably related to what you achieve.

Having a plan to refer to along the way takes a lot of the guesswork out of wealth-building. It may not happen exactly the way you plan it, but it eliminates the overwhelm, and puts your dreams within reach. You’re less likely to get lost or pulled off course. You wake up possessing a clarity of purpose, excited about your next move, and compelled to see it through. The clearer the big picture and more detailed your steps to get there, the more your fulfilment becomes inevitable.
